There is a post on Socktopus that blows my mind every time I see it. I keep stumbling on it and always think “oh man, that is the most brilliant thing! Don’t forget about it!”. So, of course, I always forget about it.

What a fantastic little trick! Cat Bordhi (again) does something similar with her sweet tomato heels, but she does the short rows the usual way and then creates the twin stitches by knitting into mama on the first full round. They also look very tidy. I think I like this way better, though, since all the work is done while actually creating the short rows and the first regular round is just smooth sailing!
