So being a recent transplant to Toronto has some perks. One of those is the fact that I get to be constantly surprised by how much goes on around here. Today’s neat discovery was the fact that something called The Downtown Knit Collective exists. I noticed an ad for the Knitter’s Frolic in a Ravelry sidebar earlier today and it led me on a little internet adventure. Knowing how far away the location of the Frolic is leads me to believe that I probably won’t spend both days there, but one day seems more than feasible

The real highlight of this lovely organization is the monthly meeting. This months speaker is Glenna C, who’s blog I have been following with much interest for many moons. I’m pretty into things that get me out of the apartment once in a while, especially if the thing that gets me out is a room full of knitters talking about knitterly things.

So you can bet your socks that I bought a membership and will (awkwardly) attend these meetings every month!
